Before learning to fly in India make sure the flying school is certified by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), this is the authority in charge of aviation in India much like the FAA in America, CASA in Australia, and EASA in Europe.

There are a lot of flying schools located in India, some are better than others. This list below of flying schools in India are all accredited and approved by the governing body BGCA. To be able to get your license you must hold a class 1 Medical for your commercial pilot's license. You will be required to complete 200 hours of flying in an aircraft of choice depending on the flying school in India. Most of the flying schools on the list below have single-engine Cessna 152 or Cessna 172 training aircraft.
