What to wear to the Assessment Day at Emirates?

When dressing for your Emirates assessment day, it's important to follow the airline's grooming policy to ensure you make a positive impression. Here are some guidelines:

  • Nails: Keep your nails clear, nude, or french polished.

  • Shoes: Choose low heels (1-2 cm) or high heels (6-7 cm and closed). Flats are acceptable during in-flight service only.

  • Tattoos: If you have tattoos, it's best to cover them. A long sleeve can help conceal larger tattoos, while a small tattoo on the wrist can usually be covered with a band-aid.

By adhering to these dress and grooming standards, you'll be fully prepared for the assessment day.

What to take to your Emirates Assessment day

It’s a good idea to have digital copies of the following documents ready on your phone to share with the recruitment team during the interview:

Emirates Assessment Day Break down and Guide

To prepare for your Emirates assessment day, make sure to gather all your important documents, such as your birth certificate, passport, license, name change records, and any relevant certifications. Be sure to have copies of everything so you're fully prepared when you receive that confirmation email. The whole assessment day takes about 3 hours.


  • Arrival Time: The assessment day usually starts at 09:00 AM, but it’s best to arrive around 8:30. This gives you a chance to meet other candidates and chat before things begin. Everyone is super friendly, so don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation!


  • Phones: Remember, no phones allowed. It’s easy to forget, but make sure your phone is either turned off or left in your car to avoid any distractions.


  • Table Assignment: Once you’re invited into the room, you’ll be assigned a table/group randomly. Take this time to connect with others and offer water from the pitcher in the middle of the table—it’s a small gesture that makes a good impression.

The Emirates English test consists of two main sections, designed to assess your grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension skills.

Group Exercise Scenarios/Questions

During your assessment, the recruiter will be looking at body language, English and how you speak to others including your experience and background. Thinking out of the box and collaboration with others is important.


You will be asked to stand up and introduce yourself to the group, you will include information such as Name, age, profession, and where you come from including your customer service experience. Sometimes the recruiter will ask you to share your favorite destination and why it is your favorite destination.

You pick up a card from the table that contains a profession, you must prepare a self-introduction and explain your customer service experience, then pick a quality that profession must have and explain why you chose that quality in particular.


During a flight you have one blanket left, and you need to decide which person to give it too, the people are a pregnant lady, an unaccompanied minor, V logger, VIP , off duty crew member, and

a angry passenger, What would you do? you will have 5-15 minutes (depending on group size) to work as a team to make a decision which is the correct answer.

In the second group assessment, you might be given a scenario to role-play between the assessor. Medical Check to Become a Flight Attendant for Emirates

Before joining Emirates, you'll need to complete a self-declaration medical form. If further details are needed, a visit to your doctor may be required. You’ll also need to see a dentist to complete the dental form. Any costs for these medical requirements will be your responsibility. After you join, Emirates will conduct additional medicals for your residence visa and to meet GCAA regulations.


Swimming Assessment to Become Cabin Crew

To ensure the safety of passengers and crew, all prospective Emirates cabin crew members must meet a critical physical requirement: the ability to swim 50 metres fully clothed, unassisted, and tread water for at least 3 minutes. This skill is essential in case of an emergency evacuation over water, where being able to stay afloat and navigate safely is paramount. Once you receive the golden call you will be given a ticket to DXB (Dubia) and have a baggage allowance of 2 bags up to 50kg's total. Some essential items to take with you are:
